CCP didn't care to put out a patch for the MAC yet. I can not download one either. I guess MAC client doesn't need to be tested as much as the windows client..... |

nice timing, aint it? just a few days before tyrannis is being deployed, and we can't look for the last bugs, guess this is going to be simillar when apocrypha was deployed |

Why do we hardly/never get any dev response when pac patches are the subject? |

Because invariably you all jump to the wrong conclusion. Yesterday's patch was a rush job, and the fact of the matter is that making a patch for the Mac is a much more involved process than for Windows. As such, when we want a patch to test quickly we get out what we can when we can. By the time the Mac ones were ready, we had already decided that there was to be a secondary patch, which is the one on Singularity now, and so the Mac one was not released. There's no hidden conspiracy, it's simply that we wanted it updated asap and that meant Windows only. |

I wonder if it was possibe to spend one minute per deployment and update a sticky in this forum that contains: * current version * windows and/or mac patch available or not * autopatcher available or not * download URL for manual patching That would save us all from jumping to wrong conclusion because then we wouldn't have to guess what's going on. Maybe it would even save you some time because you wouldn't have to come to the forum and explain us how wrong our conclusions are... |

Fine, you can volunteer to do that. Those who know how singularity works, can find the patches and get on, those who can't, whine. Those who can't are also likely very little help in the testing process (with the one exception of a mass test), if they can't figure out this basic litmus test. Therefore, this keeps some of the riff raff off the test server blowing up ships outsdie of FD- station and podding people. If you were smart you could spend your own one minute per patch and find it out for yourself. |

Right, this was totally about me and not about getting enough people onto Sisi and into the fleet tests. I do wonder why people keep mentioning they wanted to join the test but couldn't find the information required to do so, since - as you explained so wonderfully - that was all for the better... |

Thankfully there are tons of competent people able to figure out the simple steps to get on singularity that the 5 or 10 people who can't figure it out for a mass test aren't going to have much impact. Considering the majority of people were able to get in for the mass test just fine, you can drop the pseudo-altruism disguising your whine. |

its difficult to download something that is not there, i presume you are a windows user, yes? if so you don't have anything to do with the subject in this topic and i've noticed that many people are quick to call the concerns of other players whining |

Yeah, it's totally better to have less people on Sisi for testing, especially when less people join the mass tests than CCP like to see. Don't try to tell me the last 2 tests had 500+ people in there. Especially since the people who do not join are the ones not listening to the CCP guys and podkilling other people. How do you even know that? They are not on Sisi so how do you know what they would do? But yeah, your posts are so constructive I simply don't know where to start... |

Like I said, the vast majority of people can figure it out, the 5-10 people who can't are hardly any significant loss. If you can't figure out how to get on to singularity, there is very little chance you would be a successful tester, or able to write a good quality bug report. |
