I search for a way to install EVE Online silently without the need of the GUI. So far i was not able to find the documentation for comandline switches in the installer that "may" exist. Ideas? Anyone? |

I think he is referring to running the installer in unattended mode. |

It would then be possible to create a kickstart for a EVE Live CD that boots a minimal system and starts EVE: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_and_use_a_Live_CD Otherwise everyone that wants to build the ISO has to install it manually and repack it. And you can't share that repacked client cause you are not allowed to redistribute the EVE Client or parts of it: http://www.eveonline.com/pnp/termsofuse.asp (3.2) If it is only the kickstart that has to be shared it is all legal and i also don't like stuff that is not automatic and can only be reproduced with manual intervention. |

Any chance to get support for that in the future? Otherwise it saves me a lot of time cause it kills the whole idea but that's why i asked before i did something :-) |

Is there a way to install Eve on my abacus? And if so, can it be done in a really noisy fashion? |

A string is tied one end to the abaccus and the other end to all other nearby abacuses, a bead can then be pushed down it, enabling inter-abacus communication. |

I'm with the original question: Why? It's a game, not some productivity program you're pushing out to a couple of thousand users in an enterprise somewhere. |

The only reason I could see anyone doing this is to hide the fact that they are playing EVE. Use a USB flash drive like everyone else. Besides, do you really want to rebuild the ISO after every patch? |

Yeah, thats why i want to automate it :-) i want do this not only because it would be handy to have such a live-cd. I wan't to do it because i wonder if it is possible and how the performance is compared to a full system. |

aha well in that case just build with a pointer to your current version - if you make the cache go on a RAM disk eve better |
