This has been brought up before, but its time. Last month I was killed by a dramiel in lo sec.
It was scrammin me but i couldnt scram it, and it was hitting me perfectly with autos from 12km. It was also putting drones on me and going 6km/s. I was in a thrasher (isnt this supposed to be an epic frig slayer?)
I died. It didnt.
They are waaay too strong. I am stealing this quote from several peeps, but they have all the strength of an interceptor and assault frig with none of the weaknesses. |

It costs as much as BS with what, 1/32? of the HP. You get what you pay for. It can still die in a fire just like any frig, you were just doing it wrong. |

Dramiels are easy to kill.
You gotta be able to bait them in, and get a web and scram on them by that time there dead.
Who in there right mind would pay for a ship that costs 70mil for a ceptor or an AF class that has the same weakness's as the t2 counterparts?
People moan about everything in eve that is expensive, its either faction ships are too good at there designated job, or t2 insurance isn't upto scratch.
CCP justify T2 (faction aswell) insurance by saying t2 is more of an "elite" ship so its a risk to use it.
CCP couldnt justify the Dramiel if they were as slow as a AF or as paper thin as a Ceptor, they are ment to be abit of both and be "lucrative" (albiet everyone uses one)
Instead of taking the time to write a topic about how it should be nerfed like every other person thats been tackled and killed by one, maybe you should use the time in finding ways/fittings to counter-act the dramiel.
Next there will be a post about how an insta-popping arty thrasher should be banned caus frigates are die'in (part from drams)

Liar. Firstly: It was not hitting you perfectly at 12km. It's optimal is about 2km - so it was in deep falloff Secondly: If it was going at 6km a second, it would hardly be hitting you at all - it can't track at those speeds and that range. Yes, it has very good tracking. VERY good tracking, but not full tracking at 6km/sec. So it really wasn't hitting you for that much damage. Its drones, OTOH, yeah, they'd have hurt. You could have webbed it, if it was at 12km - overloaded web reaches to 13km and that would have allowed you to annihilate it if you were piloting your ship properly. Quote:

The real problem with Dramiels is when they blob up. Recently up north I've seen gangs of 30+ Dramiels roaming about. Normally the solution to any gang like this is a few bombers but the Dramiel can outrun a bomb no problem, so that wipes out the bombers as being useful against them.
So short of another bigger bang of Dramiels it is next to impossible to beat the conventionally in 0.0, it isn't just a low sec problem. Sure a rapier can deal with a small gang but there is just nothing in Eve atm to deal with a large group of them |

Caps. It's not like they're going to blob caps with dramiels. Oh wai.... On a more serious note: a dramiel is overpowered IMHO because it's way better than any other frig out there in msot way that matter: speed, GTFO abilities (dual prop), EHP, and has good dps on top of that. Pretty much the only way to have a chance in a 1v1 frig fight vs. a dramiel, is to be in another dramiel |

Show me a killmail with 30 (or close) dramiels on it. If you can find one, show me lots of them (since these gangs seem to go around raping a lot according to you). There's a couple entities that employ angel ships in 10-20 gangs but that includes machs and cynabals too. Also lol @ the NC complaining about blobs  (j/k) |
