Inflation is becoming rampant!
The insurance payout for a t2 frig is like 300k, but the ship costs 15m+! That is a massive gap in coverage that prevents people from pvping.
Another thing preventing pvp are cyno jammers. How is this inflation? It inflates the size of the gangs needed to bring down the sysyem! That means that s a f d can easily crash the grid. |

I think someone needs Econ 101 From what I've seen, the problem isn't inflation, but deflation. |

eve is the one mmo I've ever played that doesn't have inflation, even faction modules and the like are remarkably stable in price with an upwards trend.
the difference between many wow servers is an order of 10x and more, and when i stopped playing guildwars i was rich, and now i basically have no money, even though the rare items i have (+damage always, no pen) are worth a mindboggling fortune, a classic sign of insane inflation.

(Hint: The fact that people have already made sig pics which prophetically lampoon the OP's sentiment strongly suggests this isn't the first time such a thread has graced these fine forums. Just sayin') |

2 Steps 2 EVE Success!1. Give me 5m per t2 frig and I'll insure them for their full price! 2. Accept every contract in Jita local that looks too good to be true so you get more ISK, thus more pvp! |

Edited by: David Grogan on 20/04/2010 09:14:46 tyrannis will be introducing reforms to the insurance system so that t2 insurance payouts will be better (upto 60%) of avg market value & nerfing insurance payouts of supercaps to a max of 10% of avg market value.
t1 sub caps insurance will also be changed so that suicide ganking will in big ships such as battlecruisers or battleships will not payout enough insurance to be randomly targeting barges/haulers....... u will have to scan those ships to see if the isk lost (from being concorded) is less than the value of potential loot dropped from a victim's wreck. |

T2 ships have always had low insurance payouts because they are basically pimped T1 hulls and you only get the basic T1 insurance payout. It's like when you chav-up your Vauxhall Corsa, it's still only a Corsa and all the extra ridiculous crap you put on it won't get covered by insurance. You'll get insurance money for a car, not a pimped car. About inflation - This is when a chick gets bigger breasts, works for me |

but the difference will be that moon goo mins are not considered in insurance payouts at present. After Tyrannis is launched moon goo min prices WILL be a determining factor in calculating insurance payouts. |
