- Obviously they wont hit AAA (and AAA allies?), so if those are your target then No.
- Obviously you can not hire them to clear providence.
- You can hire them for isk, if your target fits their agenda. (Pretty much like any 0.0 alliance)
Seems to me they have lost their mercenary status, then.
You are right sir, Noir got involved in the invasion of Providence so that they could get valuable ratting space and then relax forever more, they lost any status they had as mercs months ago. They were most definately not there because they are mercs hired by -A- to hit providence, no sir. Such an obvious more logical solution is clearly impossible, there must be tinfoil hats and conspiracy theories or this wouldn't be EVE! Extra free protip - them getting some space for no sovwar pew pew in the new providence doesn't mean they wont shoot you if paid! |

Well to the Op's question, did Noir loose their Merc status meh... Lets look at it this way, it's a common thought that to be a Merc you have to be 100% Un-Bias. So looking from outside the box if Noir has any blues they are tech not Un-Bias anymore.
Dont get me wrong Noir are very good at what they do and are respected by the eve comunity and from the responses here from them is that they are still in fact taking Merc contracts. How ever they have a very small blue list is what they say, and that in it self indicates that they have allied with people and will not shoot them if contracted to, which would cause a conflict of interest makeing them bias.
Now does this make them non Merc? Meh IMO they are on a slippery slope when now they will/will not take a contract if it is for someone on their blue list.
It would suck to have a Merc corp such as Noir become just like every other corp in EVE, as they have provided a valued service to alot of corps, IMO Noir's Merc status is still there however it is in Jepordy as now people will have doubt as to their allegence's. This was not a flame folks just a outside looking in perspective.
