It has been a pleasure flying with MAVERICK CORP 2.0 for more than two years now.

Being a group with origins predating their involvement in Eve, I started as a true outsider. With many of the original members having "MV" in their names, at first it felt like I had joined KIA Corp or something, but I soon felt like a part of the family.

When I came aboard the original Maverick corporation, they had thankfully spared me the humiliation of being associated with Sylph Alliance by leaving it 3 weeks prior. For this, at least, I shall remain eternally grateful.

If there is one thing you have to give this corp, it's that we generally haven't picked the "safe" alliances to join when evaluating our options.

Our history since reforming the corp:

IAC was being devoured by -A- when we signed up. We turned down membership in three of the local Providence holder alliances to take a risk and move into an ongoing conflict that had every sign of going downhill. It was a great experience and we met some remarkable players.

HUHU was an opportunity participate in MAX and we turned down membership in an alliance Avi had wanted to join since before I even had an Eve account to do so. On the bright side, this decision allowed us to start roaming Providence and quickly reach -10 in Amarr lowsec for the first time.

SCA tried to remove Goons + UNL from a region out of jump range from friendly space, without any help from BoB or the other GBC alliances. We could have opted for one of several alliances that, at that time, already owned their own space and had no real challenges at home.

PMS... well... I admit we never would been part of their invasion if the alliance leadership hadn't pulled a bait & switch on us, but we didn't want to bail on our friends so we gave it a shot at least. I think many other corps would have walked out when they were told the new plan was to invade Fountain in early 2009.

ATLAS brought crazy capital numbers (with an insane overall alliance participation level) and poop-socked through more towers than any group of human beings should ever have to. Other options at the time were safe but boring. During our membership, Atlas rose to take its place among the superpowers of Eve and has since only strengthened its hegemony by adding new renters and friendly alliances in unused, recently-conquered regions. Leaving Atlas was a very tough decision with a major split in corp opinion, but when in doubt we always opt for the more exciting option and Atlas's great battles were behind it for the foreseeable future so we took Molle up on his offer.

IT has defied all odds and prevailed over entrenched opponents across multiple regions of space. We left one of the strongest alliances in the game and made a gamble. Luckily IT paid off.

Best group of people i ever flew with besides my Anza corpies. Best corp we ever had in SCA. One of the reasons life is so good and awesome in IT now is also the fact that Avi and the mavericks is here too.

Happy birthday -MVN-,when i started to play EVE i wanted to join BoB from day one,and to be part of some great corporation inside of the Band of Brothers,and i reached that goal that dream am a part of great corporation that has resurrected the BoB inside the IT Alliance :)
