less then 200 dudes ina reinforced system.

less then 200 dudes jump into them.

less then 400 dudes in system. REINFORCED NODE.

NEW EPIC EVE battle trailer

results

1 fleet has no lag kills everyone quite easily. Other fleet never loads system, never fires asingle shot. Some try to log out and sit there unresponsive anyway/die like the others on gate.

I've never petitioned a lost ship due to lag or cried along with the rants in these forums as they come and go but CMON. THIS is not fun.

EDIT: Because i hit enter b4 finishing post

Not that I agree with it, but CCP does not reimburse ships lost in (lol 400 people) "large" fleet battles.

I don't see any issue the nodes are working as expected.

When the servers are running this bad you should bridge to another location and make them load grid.

Wow, NC seems to be a bunch of whiners. When SC lost a wyvern and a few capitals when they were commanded to log out from the lag you didn't hear them spouting "hollow victory" or petitioning the loss. But now that a BS fleet gets owned in about the same conditions, the NC does...

You should have jumped and immediately logged.

What I don't understand, is the fact that you guys should know by now that this will happen, so why do you keep expecting a different result?

Unfortunately you guys picked the wrong time to have a North Vs South lag fest. Perhaps you should just stick to skirmish warfare and a long battle of attrition using small gangs, until CCP gets the dam issue fixed.

THE OP is mine I posted with an alt mistakenly.

I worked all day and missed this op. YOu can check the KB stats I didnt lose a single ship so please dont see this as a whine. Rather another of many implying that CCP has broken their game since dominion.

This is also not a post about lag. As you can see there was not really any lag to be said. Atlas jumped in, a bit slow but good enough, the NC saw little/no lag whatsoever the whole fight. It was the system server itself that seemed to fail us here.

Some people said they logged immediately... others said they waited 50 min+/they all died without seeing their ship. Either way this is not an at all entertaining/interesting/exiting/fullfilling part of your game ccp.

I would stress that such basic isues and problems be in some extent addressed before producing more layers of code.

This is a joke, right? "We shall elect, dearest adversary, to bring only a small ragtag band of untrained musketeers. We trust you will honor this arrangement and furnish forth no more than the same."

It was just 400 ships in a REINFORCED node though.

I mean 1000+ ships in a system I could somewhat understand, but 400? Even smartbombing in Jita brings you higher numbers than that, the only difference being the session change for the fleet.

Edit : Although I agree, skirmishes it is. And those are more fun nowadays anyway.

Blobbers who know they are bringing server breaking numbers and repeatedly do it deserve to die and get podded repeatedly. Working as intended imo.

Pre-dominion, 400 people fights were doable even on unreinforced nodes. CCP broke something. Server performance seems to be 1/3rd or so of what it was. This is something worth *****ing about.

I used to be in FW, and at the time there was a issue that caused massive lag and desynic in fights with only 30 or 40 people in them. We dealt with it for quite some time while they worked out the problem.

After losing a ship or two along with pods I decided that I had learned my lesson and I stayed away from those kind of fights until it was fixed. The point I'm getting at, is you know there is a problem and there is a high likely hood that this will happen, expecting a different result is just setting your self up for a let down.

Change your tactics to work around the problem and move to a more harassment type war until the servers get fixed and you can make a heavy push.

They are preparing the code for system virtualization. If they didn't, they would never make it for 2011.

Just saying.

This definitely looks very bad.

I hope GMs have enough common sense to realize that something went terribly wrong for people who jumped in the system. CCP can easily verify killboard data with their server.

Good job there Sherlock

@Boomershot, one of the delightful features of Dominion is that you don't disappear from space in laggy conditions. I imagine more than half of those pilots were not logged in when they died.

Actually lag has been fairly decent so far, but oddly enough the worse bouts of fleet lag I've had weren't in the random systems, it was in the reinforced node systems. Maybe they're screwing with us and putting it on the node with jita or something :P

Laggy condition for the node. since one side could easily wipe every single ship and pod from the system, there's no "laggy situation" involved. Just session change.

If you have no idea how this works, you should probably stop posting.

I'll say it again for you. Ships jumping in do not disappear from space in these conditions even when logged off.

Perhaps you should consult with CVA to see how they went about getting re-imbursements after their CAP FLEET got wtfpwned in the same circumstance? ugh

Two times my ship's ass was saved by logoff during even worse situations (and in unreinforced nodes) Rolling Eyes.

Dunno if this is relevant to the conversation or not, but back when I was in faction warfare we'd have 50v50 on seperate sides of a gate. Typically the FC'd be saying "they can jump and load the grid."

Dunno if that was smoke and mirrors for "We're not jumping into their perfect setup" or if it was serious, but nine times out of ten when I jumped in on the enemy blob I lagged to all hell.

This game shouldn't be played in fear of lag.

Funny how you take the time to complain about lag while but a fraction of the major alliances even bother to join the stress tests.

Actually I just posted twice and was in too much of a hurry to delete and repost with my main. I am the flailing angermonkey.

lol, but seriously im not trying to complain... like i said i lost nothing... not looking for reimbursements not saying "IT WASNT FAIR!" I'm saying that this iteration of CCP's game is not entertaining in the least... and should be fixed BEFORE more code is layed on top. THIS never happened before dominion... but now presumably because of something they changed... we cant even have the smallest of fleet fights. Those that are saying "change" and "adapt" are biggited simpletons. This is the game CCP gave us... we cant just NOT defend our space or NOT play eve and carebear all day. SOmething needs to be done and if it takes 100 more threads filled with factual proof and realistic demands then MAYBE we can help push this along.

Because when our next CTA comes up i do NOT wish to die this way.

If you know the game is broken, why would you put yourself in a situation where you know you might be adversely effected by the broken aspect of the game? FC failure in my humble opinion.

So you are saying TQ's reinforced node performance is down to Sisi levels now? Shocked
