The Dark Horses and Project Nemesis probe out a wormhole that opens in their home system of Uedama. In this wormhole is a completely undefended small Minmatar POS belonging to the corp "NAMELESS Heavy Industries"; member of the alliance "Important Internet Spaceship League" with an X-Large Ship Assembly array, and a couple of T3 Labs. I figure we could form up, reinforce the pos with some Stealth Bombers, and come back and finish it off in a day and a half. Step one of the plan was finished in a relative short period of time. Reinforcing the pos with 20 stealth bombers takes little effort, and even less time. During the time we are reinforcing the pos, Shamrock1 logs in (or maybe not) and warps to his tower and begins lacing local with some smacktalk. We finally reinforce the tower, and it's max-stronted. We think "ok, 1 day 17 hours, we'll bring back the same gang, and scoop the labs and assembly arrays and that'll be that. Well...Fast forward 1d 17h, and we form up in stealth bombers. I log my covops alt in that's been at the pos for the last few days, to begin probing an exit for us to come through. Before I uncloak to launch my probes, I notice guns have been anchored on the tower. Checking the mass on the WH, I notice that getting a BS fleet larger than 5 BS in the WH wouldn't work...I decide to cancel the op and leave it at that. It also turned out that Spartan Alliance members were helping camp the wormhole once I finally did probe it. This is where the story with this WH would have ended... As I'm moving my alt to the sun to drop probes, I notice on scan: Thanatos, Archon, Orca. I think "wtf rly?" I notice theyre sitting at a POS, and warp to it. All three ships, to my surprise, are unpiloted. I mention it briefly on comms, and one pilot asks "what alliance/corp? b/c my alt corp is in an alliance that leaves shiny ships unpiloted all the time". I tell him it's Spartan Alliance and he says "no &#*!, thats who my alt corp is with....and we have a thanatos pilot in the corp". Unsure about wanting to out himself, the pilot with the alt corp in Sparta decides not to heist anything yet. Fast forward now to March 21st...The pilot with the alt corp in Spartan Alliance says "hey guys i just got made fleet commander of the Spartan Alliance mining op, wanna come crash this?" So I round up a fleet, and have the pilot who was FC warp them to the wormhole to go back home after it's already been bubbled, and we smash the entire op. The Orca cloaked on the wormhole, only to be decloaked several minutes after the fact, and killed. Smack was spewed in local mostly from the PRONS, DKHRS Side. During the above op, the infiltrator mentions on vent "these guys are waiting for us to jump into their WH, they have the carriers on standby". To which, I log my scout alt on at the pos with the carriers,and see theyre hugging the shield with fighters deployed. Realizing I wont be able to bring our fleet to a deathstar POS and survive without logistics, we toy with them for a little and move on home. |

It's brought to my attention the carrier is fit pretty bad. It is also brought to my attention, the pilot who stole the carrier has Gallente Carrier to 1, and doesnt really have good skills to pilot it. Not thinking much of this I say, "just find a sub-WH and take it to Low sec when you get a sub WH that spawns into Lowsec". Then I think..."wait, we have a carrier--IN THEIR WH!" I pipe up over vent, and ask if any of the characters in the alt corp can fly an Orca, and sure enough there's one. I start telling him "I want you to buy this triage fit in the closest trade hub, and I'll move my char over that has all the related skills to 5 and fit it in your Orca at a deep safe." Fit gets bought a few hours later, and stored in the corp hangar in the pos until I can get my char out there. While I waited for the carrier pilot to log in, I figure I'd confuse the hell out of Sparta. I convo'd Ancient Enemy, CEO of the alliance. He knows we've been watching the wormhole for at least a week as is made evident at him waving at my alt when I log her in. I tell him I'm tired of camping the Wormhole, and that I'm only in it, keeping an eye on Shamrock1, and that if they can get him and his corp out of the wormhole within 7 days, then we won't forcefully remove Spartan Alliance from the WH. (Admittedly, I wasnt ever going to uphold this end of the agreement...lol e-honour) He agrees, and says "we'll shoot his pos now"...to which I said "oh well my guys wanna get in on it, can u put it off til 2300 on Saturday? Hey says "SURE, We'd love to work with such an excellent group of PVPers." Carrier is re-fit for triage overnight. Orca is stolen overnight. Thanatos is realized to be missing overnight as well. (lol audio in link) At this point I'm thinking I'm being trolled and that no one in game can possibly be this dumb. But I go on and schedule the op for Saturday, 2300. Saturday comes, and everyone is prepping. I convo Ancient Enemy and tell him "we'll meet up with you guys at the WH, just have someone meet us in high sec for a warp in...oh and btw, set us blue for this." He responds "ok". I form fleet with the scout I have cloaked at his pos with his carriers. Our fleet arrives at the high sec entrance, and I let them know what the go-code is to turn on these guys. I jump the fleet in, and warp us to the "hostile" tower. We shoot it for a few minutes while I gang warp the carriers of their pos with my cloaked alt. One carrier notices, and cancels warp...the other warps and I give the go code in vent. I forget to fleet the triage carrier, which was the only fatal flaw here...it led to the death of my brand new Abso :( After losing the Abso, the field concentrates fire on the thanatos, not in triage yet. I finally get the carrier in fleet, and begin repping the people taking damage. We incur only one further loss...a rook, b/c dual boxing and FCing dont go well with me. Their ships are now popping one by one--with the exception of an Abaddon. We obviusly didnt have the DPS to break them for some reason. We batphone people in as many intel channels as we can, and get more DPS and ECM on the field. We finally get ECM to the field, jam the carriers, and kill the Abaddon. The Carriers then begin repping each other. Their tanks hold for a little bit b/c people ran out of ammo, and our hauler is on the way back from amarr with more. We finally get this sorted, and the rest of the DPS we called in shows up, and the carriers die routine deaths. Final result: 2 Carriers Killed1 Carrier stolen 1 Orca Stolen 1 WH fleet lost1 Alliance evicted from their wormhole for being dumb TL;DR-- F U, read it...it's epic |
