Took about an hour to download last night, and finally watched it earlier. Wow, big file for a relatively short vid is my immediate thought.
Secondly, I saw "Unreal engine" and immediately thought I was going to get something akin to Clear Skies. And I suspected it might have been a spoof of it when the camera panned out to show a Tempest in multiple pieces... :P
But when it came to pass that there would be no humans or other out of ship stuff, I was both saddened AND excited. Saddened because the Unreal engine is freaking fantastic, and excited because WOAH I didn't even know it was capable of stuff like that!
The voice acting while good, didn't feel... attached. Like they were coming from you on another plane of existence.
Loving the UI and those Rifters, and plot-wise a nice touch pitting Minmatar against Caldari. Sure beats the usual clichéd pairings, and had me squirming a little as they're my two favoured races in New Eden. Many explosions were many. And spectacular.
To anyone saying "ZOMG COULD LOOK BETTER" I recommend surgery for your frikkin' eyes, and challenge you to do better. Unless you're afraid of putting together something shoddy and looking like a tool in front of the thousands who regularly download Eve videos. |

the most amazing video i have ever seen! it is absolutely mindblowing. i dont know what more to say then that i want you to make a hollywood featured movie!!! there are no words to describe the absolute phenomenal experience!
i found the voice acting to be amazing. it really made me feel like beeing right there in new eden in the middle of the fleet getting shot at myself.
i loved the all the technical stuff displaying sip type velocity and so forth and of course when the pilot starts overlaoding the MWD it oppens up a beautiful screen. it almost makes me want to have a GUId like that in eve :P
io really loved every part of the movie. using unreal engine was amazing. i am well aware of the limitations, yet the video was absolutely fantastic. i particularly liked how the ships fractured, and how they stayed in space, buring. it is something i wish for to be implemented into Eve, rather than just having a stupid wreck left behind.
im am really hoping to see more of this kind of videos, and i would be more than willing to pay for a movie ticket to go watch a movie like this.
furthermore, i will more than gladly sponsor you a couple of redbull if needed!

I like the more electronic explosions. They remind me of shock cores from UT3.  Nice job, though! Watching again. :D |

Enjoyed it for the most part. Some things I think were off. I think the voice Acting was a bit poor tbh for the main character. Maybe the writing was a bit cheesy I dunno.
Loved the motion graphics and the indexing of ships etc mid space. That was lovely. Some great shots. I did feel like it just zipped from one place to another too quickly in the fight and it got a bit confusing at times but it's a battle so I guess that's to be expected.
Overall good watch. Difficult to pull off something like this too but voice acting was a big let down for me sorry. Had me cringing a lot rather than believing. :)
(Here come the fanboi horde no doubt to smite my honesty)
