Clearly CCP Fallout drew the short straw here. Don't think I've ever seen a man type "Please discuss the unscheduled downtime in this thread" so fast in so many places all at the same time.

Wow, I started talking to mah bud and it turns out he gots an attitude and won't answer me. So, I call him a *&%#! and proceed to banter on about the long training queue I have...

Only took me 5 minutes to realize that I wuz all alone in dah universe. Sad

What is CCP ever going to do? Well. Here's to good luck?

When will CCP be migrating to a database engine that doesn't crash on a weekly basis? MySQL? PostgreSQL? Hell, much as I hate to recommend moving from one evil empire to another, Oracle?

SQL servers need to be reset AGAIN? They get reset almost as often as IT standings...

Granted, we sure as heck noticed it but I think the important part is the protection of data on their end ...

As a public service, I hereby present some things to do while you voraciously F5 this thread and flame everyone:

EVE Downtime Bingo! Print one out and shout Bingo when you get enough from this thread!

Declarations of War Episode 12- it's an hour and half long, and has Sweet Julie singing "Moskau" by Dscinghis Khan. Oh, and CSM notes from Alek.

Me, I'm still at work. I has a sad.

I seriously doubt a migration of that scale happening.

imagine the size of the multiple database..
