I guess I would like an explanation why EVE-online won't be coming out on the console. I do have a PC but I much prefer gaming on my console.

Seeing as both current consoles support mouse and keyboards it would certainly be possible to do. However porting it to both consoles would be a total pain and trying to read text or arrange your windows on the limited resolution most console owners play at would be compleatly unmanagable. I can see it now: "ZOMG why is everything so crowded on my 13inch tube tv that is hooked up to my console with the rf input?!?!?!?! CCCCCPPPP SUXXXX!!!!!!!" Very Happy

Do you really think all those tens of milions of kids with consoles are all playing with the full hd hookups on a 60" 1080p tv? Or even a tv that has any level of hd? Wink Sure we here who play eve and whoor the fourms probably do but we are all mostly adults with an adults income. This is not the case for the vast majority of console owners. Edit: geeze you call me the troll when the op is standing right there leaning against the thread idly swinging his club and stroking his pelt. Razz

This is not what I was referring to.

Metro 2033, came out yesterday in the UK, several days ago in the US, pretty good so far, picked up for pretty cheap along with a copy of the book, both of which I'm really enjoying, pretty atmospheric and linear (as it follows the book) but holy hell those Librarian things creep the **** out of me.
Game looks excellent on all graphic settings, only running a single Radeon 5770 and it runs like butter on high settings to boot.
But ya, the game is very pretty.

That said EVE on a console would be shocking.

Edit: but as for your post I wasn't sure if you were serious or meta-trolling me. Laughing

Exactly!Smile And that game does look quite pretty. I will try it out when I arse myself to get a new computer as my old one literally went up in flames. I'm currently doing a social experiment to see how long I can last with only a ps3 to connect to the web. It's been over two weeks now without a pc and I'm not sure how much longer I can stand it. Plus it has suprised me with exactly how much of my retired life was revolving around the blasted thing. Oh well at least I have an excuse to go all out and get a nice i7 with all the bells and whistles now. Razz

Yeah, I agree EvE should be PC all the way. Does anyone know how much memory the 360 or the PS3 have? Could they even handle, say, a 500+ fight with caps involved?

Can PCs handle those?

I'm assuming they can since all I hear is before Dominion they were slugging it out in 1000+ fights. Just before I left for the first time in 08 BoB began their MAX campaign they were rolling what, 600+ deep?

Personally my comp probably will croak after 150+ pilots, my system is decent for memory and processor but my gpu and probably some other crucial component that I'm not aware of thats is uber important is substandard and I suffer for it.
