Do you really think all those tens of milions of kids with consoles are all playing with the full hd hookups on a 60" 1080p tv? Or even a tv that has any level of hd? Sure we here who play eve and whoor the fourms probably do but we are all mostly adults with an adults income. This is not the case for the vast majority of console owners.

Metro 2033, came out yesterday in the UK, several days ago in the US, pretty good so far, picked up for pretty cheap along with a copy of the book, both of which I'm really enjoying, pretty atmospheric and linear (as it follows the book) but holy hell those Librarian things creep the **** out of me.
Game looks excellent on all graphic settings, only running a single Radeon 5770 and it runs like butter on high settings to boot.
But ya, the game is very pretty.

That said EVE on a console would be shocking.

Exactly! And that game does look quite pretty. I will try it out when I arse myself to get a new computer as my old one literally went up in flames. I'm currently doing a social experiment to see how long I can last with only a ps3 to connect to the web. It's been over two weeks now without a pc and I'm not sure how much longer I can stand it. Plus it has suprised me with exactly how much of my retired life was revolving around the blasted thing. Oh well at least I have an excuse to go all out and get a nice i7 with all the bells and whistles now.
