What the hell just happened? U'K dropped sov right after taking it with no downtime cycle in between, so it's not a problem on that end. AM space is now totally unclaimed after belonging to U'K for, what, an hour? 
While I'd HATE to see U'K actually take the space (we did, in fact, want that space anyway kthx), I'd also hate to see them fail to take it because of a CCP failbug.
Then again, there are reports that AM did not intend on dropping sov all at once (Shadowandlight is a talented player and wouldn't do something so stupid), and were unable to online TCUs when they should have immediately after creation of the new alliance - so I'd ALSO hate to see AM lose space to U'K because of the same CCP failbug.
CLEARLY there is something game-breaking at work here. I'd hope that U'K would hold off posting complaints in here that their sov capture was ruined by a bug in the mechanic - when in fact it may be the same bug that gave them an opportunity to make a try for AM space in the first place. CCP intervention will be required here.
You seriously can't see any difference between an alliance acting in a hugely stupid way that causes them to drop sov and a bug which just cancels sov randomly? CCP really should offer an explanation here because after all the bugs and rollbacks and POS's shooting friendlies etc, it's starting to appear suspicious. |

i guess we all should assume that ccp will answer with their usual fail-mail "our logs yada yada we fail".

We all have seen the CCP fail mail reply thats why i now propose that whenever we do cap sov all players take screen shots of the notice, and if CCP does LOL fail again then everyone mail CCP a copy of the image at a 10000x10000 res accompanied with a long strongly worded email. |

2nd time this has happened to us, the other time we were sat shooting the station with 50 guys for ages, get it to structure, server crashes, hp pretty much resets. The sov bill we have the log from our corp wallet saying we were billed and we paid it, so god knows what happened. |

It's sad, but that more and more my point of view ! CCP have all proof and don't want to fix this "bug" (if it is one and not someone playing to god), did they indirectly help Provi holders  CCP have to explain and have to be convincing  |

Lag happens and effects both sides, some more than others (Check D-G). Claiming that CVA and their allies get intentional developer favors just makes you look stupid. CCP is obviously at fault here, and hopefully they'll improve their game and their servers, if you have logs then escalating them to a senior GM would be the best option. |

Anyone from UK who thinks this is a tinfoil conspiracy needs to STFU and stop posting (preferably forever).
CCP have an established position of not getting involved with sov bugs - the only thing you can do is hope it was identified and fixed, because it's a pretty serious bug and could in theory affect anyone.
From our side, we have all the logs to prove nothing we did was incorrect, so I'm afraid I can't shed any light on why it happened. Anyway, it's an annoying delay but it is only a delay - nothing more. |

Well I can think of one instance where they returned sov to an alliance... However the real problem is their woeful lack of customer service. If they had a petition category for major gamebreaking bugs that they actually investigated when a report was made then they could intervene. Instead they dump the petitions into queues that take a week to look at, then go "oh it is too late to do anything now without seeming arbitary and unfair". As such we get to suck it up and continue paying to betatest this product :) |

Well, we've had a lot of good fights recently in both J6 and 3D / ZR so its not all for nothing, the number of ships destroyed since the sov dropped is probably near to the thousands. We've been unlucky to be hit by this bug, but we were lucky that AM decided to effectively disband as well, so it could be worse, we could have had no fights at all and sat there with blueballs. |

You know, back in the day when sov was still attached to pos and all that, there were a bunch of cases with alliances changing name or reforming and sov consequently getting bugged consistantly because of broken references or something.
