Actually it's a pretty bad try in all regards.

If this post is just to facilitate more scams, it's a failure because every post makes him look increasingly like a douche (when conning people it helps if they like you).

If this is actually legit, it's a failure because his posts aren't exactly increasing his image any.

I'm halfway inclined to believe this might be legit, just because he's coming across as such a douche in this thread. I know he's better at faking being a normal human being when he wants something; maybe this is the "real" Riethe? In which case, he's kind of a douche (news flash) and I wouldn't trust him with isk anyways. The whole thread is really, really, bad. Some of it is entertaining, but a lot of this is painful to read. If this is a scam I just lost all respect for Riethe because it's so terrible. If it's honest... lol

Yeah, I naively believed he may have been sincere - I just felt bad thinking he may have decided to try and turn things around, only to realize it was too late. But I was wrong, and feel better about it now. Luckily, most of you didn't fall for it.

Anyways, I think your advice is sound, and for now on I'm just going to ignore his posts and stop responding to them.

I got a short convo from Riethe today.
He wanted me to update my Thieves Of EvE list: which I did.

But during this short convo I asked him whether he was going to pay back those he scammed as he seems to be saying in this thread. He said he would…. And then dropped saying he would be back. However after over an hour of doing stuff on my other alts while waiting… he never did come back.

There is a very old but wise book that says ”By their fruits you shall know them”
(i.e., by their actions you will know what kind of people they are).

Reithe… are your “fruits” going to continue to be ones of scamming and glorying in scamming?
Or will you pay back those you have scammed in the past as you have said in this thread?
