I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit on my newly built computer. At first I was having trouble installing ANY games, but since the issue has improved. I've had the most luck with games downloaded off Steam. However, my computer absolutely will not install the EVE client, and I cannot figure out why. I either get a "checksum error" or "some installation files are corrupt" error every time. I've tried installing it on other computers, downloading it and transferring it via a data stick, etc. etc. nothing is working. Everyone else seems to be running EVE on their Windows 7 64-Bit machines so what's my problem?

Your memory might be broken. Try running a test program to test the memory. (I'm too lazy to find you one so start Googling. Razz)

As you said, Windows shouldn't be the problem. I'm running EVE on 64-bit Win7 just fine.

I'd try to install it in Vista compatibility mode.
