Furry lovefest.
I have 3D glasses from way back, do I still need those to watch?
I'll not pay, I will however glance through it to confirm my first impression that this is a movie for people who wish cats were people. |

I haven't seen it yet but from the reviews I've been reading its a milestone for 3D, but like Star Wars or many other Hollywood blockbusters has a script and dialogue only your mother could love I can't help but think of the horror of watching Hadyn Christianson butcher Darth Vader. It didn't matter for me how beautiful the effects were, the script was rotten, and the acting even worse. |

saw this film this today
i cannot remember a film I have ever enjoyed as much, except maybe seeing Star Wars IV at the cinema all those years ago, amazing film, doesnt do overtly 3d things that fly towards you to make you jump it just uses the effects to make things seem more real
bloody amazing film, will the blue ray/dvd and TV's be able to cope with 3d ? |

I'm a little behind the times... but when you say 3D ... you don't mean those red and green plastic glasses from the 80s, do you? and if not, can you enjoy the movie without whatever kind of glasses you need? |

haha, that's so 25 years ago Today's 3d glasses are just tinted a little and the picture actually jumps out at you in color and HD now. Yes, you can still see it perfectly fine without the glasses |

Just got back from watching it in the movies..
Absolutely mind blowing. ****ing loved every second just gazing in wonder at the effects.
Note; don't watch it if it's not showing as 3d. And the 3d glasses have actual glass lenses and are pretty much see through, except with a dark tint. No colouring.. |

Edited by: HankMurphy on 18/12/2009 10:52:26this movie doesn't need the 3d or half the special effects. it could be fine w/ it's story alone. put it all together and it really is one of the best movies to come out in a quite some time. Originally by: Intense Thinker Yes, you can still see it perfectly fine without the glasses
if seeing a bunch of blurry **** instead of a movie is perfectly fine, then yes. |

Was visualy stunning. i would really push any 1 who feels they would use other methods to view this film not to and stump up the cash and see it in 3D at a Cinema. I study animation and i have to say itis very very hard to find flaws in it's visual's. they are exceptional. tbh i missed half the dialogs details as i got carried away with the visuals. watching a small bird on the edge of the shot instead of the main focus ect.
stupidly good visuals. Good acting for a sci-fi reasonable story. acceptable plot holes.

Just saw it tonight in 3D. Really good movie. Looks like we have two new trends in movies: a) 3D - good story enhancing 3D and not "3d the cheesy gimmick", and b) CGI enhanced actors. Big name actors might not be necessary in the not-so-far future since you can hire a lower rate actor, motion capture them (especially facial movements) and then enhance the actor's appearance with CGI, and throw in a good voice actor.
Really Fun: I'm curious as to what the Fox News types and far right talk shows are going to say about Avatar. And, I think James Cameron just outdid Al Gore.

Best movie ever. It was actually so amazing that I still think and have this strange feeling about it. You know like the whole setting etc so awesome i wanna be there right now. Havent had this feelings after watching a movie for a long time.
Altough i'd would have loved some background story in the beginning about mankind and dieing earth etc. |
