Just noticed this, either it was the latest Catalyst update or possibly the Dominion changes. Previously supersamling AA would result in the interface being blurred and it wasn't a viable option to use.

Multi-sample or adaptive AA would give me white sparkling pixels in asteroids, which was annoying enough but with HDR enabled this resulted in huge white blobs allover the screen.

- EVE is looking downright awesome right now <3

great news!

im planning to get a HD5850. Could you tell me how smooth does it run at 1920x1200 with SSAA?

I wish they would fix this for Nvidia cards. I stopped using SSAA when Quantum Rise was released and everything got blurred. I've since had to put up with the white edges of asteroids with MSAA. :(

white edges? you're lucky, once I alt+tab and tab back in w/ AA and HDR, its like my asteroids turn into small super-novas. But if I don't alt+tab everything is fine for me. >_>

The AA option in the CCC you were using was the incorrect one, you have to use Box or Edge detect AA in the CCC to get the correct type of AA to work in EVE the 2 other options blue everything.

I am running my 4890 with 24X AA at 1920x1080 and i only get white blobs with HDR+Bloom+AA on Amarr walls. Turning off Bloom fixes that.

Using edge detect helps the problem a bit but won't fix it completely on my system. It's only supersampling that really does the trick.

I've got a 5870 myself with an i5-750, it's running the game very smoothly, even in places like Jita. I just noticed that I was running 4x AA, thought I was running 2x and I honestly can't tell the difference really between the two. So if 4x were to give you any slowdown in high traffic systems, decreasing AA to just 2x would probably solve that for you. To be honest though I don't think an 5850 would have any problems either.

These are two screens with 4x AA, they're quite big so 56k warning ^^

How I wish there was an option to turn on native AA instead of HDR! I know they don't get along and kill your framerate when they are both active, but I've seen plenty of games have an option for either or.
