I'm in dire need of a new gaming mouse, the old one broke down and I'm currently using a 17 year old ballmouse....
Can someone recommend a good mouse isn't to expensive?

I like the Razer Lachesis a lot, it is fairly affordable as far as high end gaming mouses go and this ***** is SWEET. Up to 4,000 DPI and every movement is absolutely smooth and flawless. I have never had a problem with it once and it has like 7 buttons + scrollwheel so if you play FPS it is so nice to have EVERYTHING on the mouse. Switch weapon, reload, zoom, secondary fire, deploy, etc... You can do SO much **** with this mouse.

It even has a quick DPI switch button so if you like your DPI really high on in game but do not want it to be twitchy on your desktop you just hit hte button when you want to play and hit it again to switch back when you are done.

I really love my Logitech G9 cause it's realtively big and the adjustable weights really help. I like big heavy mouses. And it keeps superb control, the gliding surfaces last a long long time, the only bad thing is that the top protective/rough plastic will come of at some point. But took me over a year of intense usage, and a year for a mouse is pretty good in my book. ;-)

I'm a logitech G5 fanboy. Go out to an eletronics store and try one out. If you don't like it I hear the RAZOR series is pretty good too. Also, if your gonna throw down a lot for a mouse make sure you have a nice pad to put it on and some aftermarket teflon pads. SteelSeries make some great pads. Never tried their mice though.
