I´m tired of that can stealing in my own missions...I´m playing for my own entertainment and not for some tunnel rats just stealing under my eyes...

I´m paying to play that game and I can expect at least some entertainment for my money...putting EVE on and end up totally frustrated because of that stupid "game mechanism" prevent any fun the game might give...Evil or Very Mad

better still

Target your Can and blow it up,
before its flipped. or to **** them off even more Use cargo expanders and use your own cargo hold
Drop a Can anyway and fill it with something Crap. and waste their time.

They did make cargo holds and tractor beams to fix that very problem. What else do you expect?

I guess I have the right to post my thoughts no matter if certain people like it or not...if some have seen such posts a million times already fine just dont look/dont post...beside that if there have been so many threads about it dont you think it might been an issue important for some people ?

"can stealing" might have been the wrong term here as I basically mean while I still fighting mission mobs some people are able to jump in my mission and steal anything while I´m still busy fighting the mobs...I´m relativly new to the game and I can´t say I understand how that is even possible but I can say for sure I´m getting damn angry about it which means I just close EVE again and play something different instead of wasting my time making other people rich...

the typical advice "learn how to PvP" yeah fine tell me how and I probably do that otherwise try the thread above or below mine with your very useless "advice"...

1. Get an alt account.
2. Use alt to salvage/haul loot.
3. Profit!

Or you can, you know, blow them up. Wink

I am getting the impression that you feel some sort of entitlement to be able to play the game and be left alone. Unfortunately, that is not in line with how the developers (CCP) want the game to work. In EVE, if you are in space, other players can and will interact with you, often times in unwanted ways. This is a core component of the game, and if you do not like it, maybe you are playing the wrong game.

it might be the wrong game...if people interact even in unwanted ways fine with me for sure...now a GM just contacted me and said "right if he loots Im free to kill him but if he just salvage my wrecks concord has no issue with him and that´s why the GM can´t do anything"...now that´s great...if I´m walking around somewhere and someone is trying to steal my case he hasnt turn around and he would lie and the floor bleeding...in this game it´s not even possible to punish someone who´s activly stealing...just because a virtual police force seems to be not offend by salvaging wrecks...until now that was the most funny excuse Ive seen...

There is more then 2 systems to mission in you know.. and most of them are practically empty. That is yet another way to not get your stuff looted for you.

There goes that entitlement thing again... Just because the wreck is yours does not automatically give you posession of any salvage that may come from the wreck. The salvage goes to whoever actually runs the salvager on the wreck first. This was done to emulate the real-world salvage rules for international waters in where it is essentially first-come first-served. If you want the salvage that bad, salvage as you go or get a buddy/alt to salvage for you.

Protip: Don't play games that involve other people.

If this doesn't help you on your quest for "entertainment for your money", don't play games. Watch TV, go outside, get laid, whatever.

Salvaging a wreck you made isn't stealing, since YOU DO NOT OWN THE SALVAGE! If someone steals form you, you are allowed to shoot him. Fair enough.

We had this discussion over and over, CCP made the decision a long time ago to allow missions to be scanned down. Other people salvaging is perfectly legal. Happens to me all the time while mining.

EVE ... designed by people who suck for people who suck (or got thrown out of other games)

OP, the simple answer is, instead of CCP pandering to your pathetic whines, you learn how to run missions properly.

Huzzie

Although the people that "ninja salvage" and loot your wrecks are indeed **** wads, theft is an integral part of the game.

Theft can be frustrating, but it can make the game interesting as well. Piracy is just one more career in eve that a lot of people (myself not included) enjoy. You'll find that it adds an element of excitement to the game, and keeps you on your toes. Your first venture in to low sec will prove that Wink

Unfortunately, it's just a fact of life that a floating piece of space wreckage or a fancy piece of loot floating in a container can be stolen. Check on the map and find an agent for your corp in a quieter system away from major trade/mission hubs.

Keep your chin up Huzzie!

Per CCP Mitnal:

"Our policy on this is extremely clear... Salvaging is a mini-profession within EVE and does not constitute stealing."

Per GM Faolchu :

Salvaging other peoples wrecks.... This is an intended game mechanic and is in no way an exploit. People salvaging your missions npcs or the player you just blew up are doing nothing wrong. The players are salvaging what is effectively floating rubbish in space and Concord places no value on this wreckage.
Eve is a harsh place you won't always have everything go your way, its a do or die world and people do what they can to get along. If salvaging some wreckage gets them a few more ISK someone will do it, it doesn't matter who just blew it up.

Per Senior GM Ytterbium :
Originally by: GM Ytterbium
Players are still completely free to salvage other pilot wrecks at will ... and doing so is not considered as an exploit.

Per CCP Prism X :
Originally by: CCP Prism X
Why is stealing salvage OK? It's not. It shouldn't even be possible to move an item from your cargo-hold / hanger to another persons cargo-hold / hanger without opening a trade window. Before the salvage enters those containers it is not considered your stuff by the server code. Hence it's not stealing.

How can someone who has never run a single mission in their EVE career have their mission salvage/loot stolen from them?

In the even that the OP is posting on a forum alt, try running missions far away from crowded mission hubs. Use eve-agents.com to find alternative agents in other systems.

I should note that I am primarily a mission runner, and have NEVER encountered a SINGLE salvage/loot thief, NEVER had a mission invaded and most certainly have NEVER been suicide ganked. All you have to do, is GTHO of Motsu, Dodoxie, and other crowded hubs.

I think ninja salvagers are quite cool. I actually feel a bit left out here I've ran level 4's for a long time. Never once has a little ninja ever crossed my path. If I ever meet one though I'm happy for them to have the salvage. Hardly a major loss is it? I just finish the mission get isk, loot, LP and increased standing. The little ninja gets some items to sell or build rigs with. Big deal. I mean if it stresses people out they should maybe take up yoga or listen to recordings of whales.

Tbh the only way these threads will be stopped, or at least curbed, is to educate players from the outset that WRECKS ARE NOT YOURS.

This would at least get rid of the 'why' threads, but probably wouldn't halt the whines Sad

Odd advice.

I mean I know **** is pretty easy to come by on the internet...and you already need to be online to play EVE...and with window mode you can multitask an internet browser and EVE pretty easily...and you don't necessarily need both hands to play EVE. Still odd advice. Shocked

If a ninja warps in while you're still fighting, just warp out.

Then return a few minutes later and you can salvage the ninja's wreck, too.
