Ok, I know it was due to poor planning but a couple of us got stuck in a WH after the Orca collapsed the WH behind itself (the Probe was in the Orca's hold for storage). I put out a mail to the corp offering 50M for a safe return to k-space, but no one has been able to find the system (J123405) again yet. Does anyone have any tips on finding an appropriate WH?
(And we learned the lesson about leaving a probing ship in space rather than in the cargo hold, no criticisms or "That's what you get" needed, that much is already known) |

Just to eliminate all doubt, but the Orca with the Probe in its hangar was leaving the WH system when the wormhole collapsed?

Yeah. I scouted the WH and led a few people in before I stored my Probe in the Orca's bay before going to get the Drake to clear the belt and then left the Drake in a station in k-space when I went for the Hulk. We started mining and the Orca started to ferry ore back to k-space. Well, the second return trip to k-space in the Orca closed the WH behind itself (found out when he tried to come back for the next load) with the Probe still in the bay. From now on there'll be a throwaway Probe sitting in space whenever we mine, lesson learned. |

Hi
If you in wh without prober there is nothing you or anyone else can do. Maybe someone will find you but getting alive out of wh thats another story.
You could wait in there for a day or two and see wats happens.

I've been here since late fri night/Sat morning and I sent out an EveMail to the clan offering 50M for a rescue Sat afternoon (open to anyone willing to find me and show me the way out BTW), but no one has managed to find it yet. I was mostly wondering if there was any kind of rhyme or reason to WH connections that we might be able to use to find a connecting WH quickly. |

I'd recommend self-destruct, and the Orca pilot reimbursing everyone he stranded.
On any mining op, have the Orca carry a small tower with 3 days fuel, and set it. It gives you a place to run to, and a place to leave ships floating relatively safely for a short time. |
