Trade hubs are just, well, already known. It's easy to find them on maps since everyone already knows most major trade hubs. Mission hubs, on the other hand, I'm confused about. How do you identify or find them? 'Average Pilots in Space' would sort of work, but that also shows trade hubs so it's not very reliable.

Tl;dr How find mission hub?

* Get all L4 agents in highsec (eve-agents.com can help you here)
* Look for ones with quality > 0 (usually, negative quality agents have some people running in their system, but not as many)
* Mission hubs!

You might want to cross reference that with average pilots in system.

You could also try looking at Pirate and Police ships destroyed in the last 24 hours. That's how I find most of my mission hubs. Region wide buy orders for certain things can help to locate where all the activity is too.

Look for L4 agents with good quality. Then look at pilots in system blobs. Now go there and look at undock tube. If you see mostly Golems, Nightmares and CNR's undocking then it's definately mission hub.

Unless you're not in Caldari space. Dodixie is a mission hub in Gallente space, and you see mostly dominixes, megathrons, navy megathrons, a few Kronos, and random other ships undocking.

The agents mentioned are a good indicator. Also, have a glimpse at the market for typical (mission runner) items: Shield boosters, armor repair systems, active hardeners of the damage types of the common NPCs in that area, salvagers, tractor beams. You'll be able to spot the system with the most sell orders for those items quite easily.

www.eve-agents.com & http://evemaps.dotlan.net/. The Dotlan gives nice statistics wich tell you how much NPC's has been killed in those systems. Check Motsu for lols.. Laughing

it is usually where all the good agents or a good agent is. something about quality 10. If you look at Motsu, theres a level 4 quality 18. Now thats good. and if you look at the general population, its always above 150. Its a ninja salvager work area too.

same thing with Umokka. level 4 quality 10. Sure not so great compared to motsu but since its in a dead end, your mission will always be in high sec. You will never go in low sec and its 4 systems away from Jita.

if it was me, I would put the good agents in low sec and the negative ones in high sec. That wouldn't fix the "way to much mish runners in high sec" since the risk is always to great (probing in 20 seconds people ??)...but anyway, thats another story

May I also suggest looking at market data for ammo - like cruise missiles. There is generally a lot of market competition for ammo at mission hubs. In Caldari space you will typically find greater than 6 to 8 sell orders for wrath cruise missiles at most mission hubs.
