Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's work, banks are going bust, shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TV's while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be.
We know things are bad - worse than bad. They're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, 'Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone.' Well, I'm not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get mad! I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot - I don't want you to write to your congressman because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first you've got to get mad.
You've got to say, 'I'm a HUMAN BEING, Goddamnit! My life has VALUE!' So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell,
'I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!' I want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell - 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!' Things have got to change. But first, you've gotta get mad!... You've got to say, 'I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!' Then we'll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: "I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!" |

Edited by: Jim McGregor on 18/09/2009 17:49:15That sort of talk is wasted on the people here most likely. :) Start reading this: Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars - Economic Shock TestingPerhaps you will have a light bulb moment. The document was written 30 years ago. The world today is pretty much exactly what it describes as a end goal. The Diversion strategy is right on: Quote:
Experience has prevent that the simplest method of securing a silent weapon and gaining control of the public is to keep the public undisciplined and ignorant of the basic system principles on the one hand, while keeping them confused, disorganized, and distracted with matters of no real importance on the other hand.
This is achieved by:
- disengaging their minds; sabotaging their mental activities; providing a low-quality program of public education in mathematics, logic, systems design and economics; and discouraging technical creativity.
- engaging their emotions, increasing their self-indulgence and their indulgence in emotional and physical activities, by:
- unrelenting emotional affrontations and attacks (mental and emotional ****) by way of constant barrage of sex, violence, and wars in the media - especially the T.V. and the newspapers. - giving them what they desire - in excess - "junk food for thought" - and depriving them of what they really need.
- rewriting history and law and subjecting the public to the deviant creation, thus being able to shift their thinking from personal needs to highly fabricated outside priorities.

Edited by: Cardiana on 18/09/2009 17:58:18 yes yes the way through the underworld is paved with suffering emotions until you give it all up and start actually living - dont be a zombie - trust - ofc it is horrible at first!
chances are you dont hear this yet. half the world doesnt.
so yes suffering is actually good and necessary.
you run against a wall it hurts to wake you up right. such is the love.
this is how baby gets born, how plants grow.
fight it and you loose each time.
learn to welcome it.
learn to welcome yourself. |

Edited by: snaike on 18/09/2009 19:24:01 Excellent film, disturbingly relevant.
With regards to the 'shock testing' article Jim posted, its worth a quick read. Tbh anyone with even the faintest incling into the workings of society and economics, or an interest in such areas, ought to beaware of the facts raised within it. To imply that the economy is an abstract, objective construct is absurd; it was created by humans and so is governed entirely by humans.
The flip side of course is that humans are governed by their economy. One needs some degreee of economic success in order to survive, and so a sense of separation develops as people forget that it is the economy that should serve them, not the other way round.
The basic problem is one of ignorance. The majority of humanity is utterly oblivious to these issues, believing the economy to be some omnipotent, vengeful being (thank you south park) meaning that those people who do know how it works, and have enough power (or money, the 2 words are somewhat interchangeable) then they can manipulate the system at the expense of others.
This is not a matter of opinion, I can prove this on a etcher sketch.

don't shout out, that will tip "The MAN" off, we don't want to be tipping "The MAN" off now do we? instead be quiet, wear your tinfoil hats while inside, try and get a tinfoil wig or lined wool cap, or baseball hat for outside use and go buy some guns, yes guns. guns are the solution!
