Then it will more or less halt the accounts being hacked this way, except the increase in email scams.
Might also allow ccp to implement different forums and also catch up with the huge amount of account work they need to do. Seems to me its out of control and wait times for unbannings etc are really long.
I have not been affected but its just horrible to read the forums lately |

I love looking at the Forums.. You can litrially see the frustration of these guys as they spam, trying spitefully to disrupt the Game that booted them, yet ignoring the fact this isn't WoW or some other Mass marketted game, and the Player base we have isn't fooled by their lure of boobies  |

if ccp disabled the forums, half of eve's playerbase would quit for having nothing todo anymore. you know, ship-spinning gets boring rather quick. |

That is true. But logically at least to me. They are having issues keeping up with petitions and hacked accounts. Disable the main source of their stress for a couple of weeks. Although i guess some of you forum *****s will not know what to do with yourselves.  You can log in and actually play the game Will you remember what to do!!! |

I actually think that would be a good thing. Since they dont even play the game, whats the point of paying for the forums. I am only on forums now since i am at work |

I'm sure the main source of CCP frustration has nothing todo with silly phishing attempts, but more todo with the odd server hicups.. that result in 1k new ship reimbursement petitions everyweek. |

Bit sad really.
Not really, a lot of people keep accounts active so the characters are skill training while they have a break from the game for whatever reason, they stay on the forums because it can be a laugh at times and passes the time. |

That's what the spammers want. This is spite due to many ingame bans as much as anything.
Why should those of us who would never click an obvious hack link in a million years suffer?
Why should we allow anyone to disrupt the game?

I'd happily fore-go my eve-forum whoring for a month if it gave CCP a break from all the spamming and a chance to sort out the absolute cluster**** of idiots who clicked and then downloaded the illigitimate flash players. |
