So the OP wants us to form lynch mobs and hunt down and wipe out the ISK buyers?
I mean I'm not complaining. All for mobs. All for random violence. Just thinking that maybe the price of air travel for everyone involved may make this a rather expensive war. Plus local authorities arn't likely to agree to our excuse. Actually pretty sure they'd be very much against it. They like to ruin the fun of lynch mobs for some odd reason. Come to think of it they like to ruin the fun of all mobs. |

Edited by: Xen Gin on 30/07/2009 15:37:28 CCP should flag all accounts of ISK buyer accounts with red name text in the market and the chat channels for their current and future characters.
Then we could all deal our own justice, I'd imagine that would literally kill the account, and buying ISK through plex wouldn't be enough to restore the character.
The downside is (it really isn't) that the buyer either leaves EVE or has to get a new account! |

we could start off with a small task force of like 10 people wich the one or the other who have had some training in the one or the other martial arts sports, just to be on the safe side. then we could go on some 1-week holiday to beijing and look for this guy Liu Yu at Nangang District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, No. 42 Man Cheo, and find out what he might has to tell us about isk selling and the like. In a peaceful manner, since we are only a scout team. Itd be very much like just interviewing him a little bit and then looking what he has to tell. And then we can still beat him up a little bit if hes not cooperative enough. J/K!!!!!!!!! We would of course NOT do that! Instead every eve player must be instructed how to help making them weaker every day. Everytime they get stronger they can field more means and tools to have revenge upon us. Everytime they get weaker they will lose ground. The first step to make them weaker is to dry them out of real money. So everybody must agree to not buy a single isk from them anymore. |

What I find hilarious is that selling plex cards nets in more isk than buying from these isk sellers.
$34.99 for 2x plex cards roughly sells for 750 mil isk ingame. (depending on current market value). $30.00 purchase from isk sellers gets you 500 mil isk ingame.
Gee, which method is safe and the better deal? Isk sellers can't even touch legitimate isk sale prices.

this, and there needs to be a tight cooperation between CCP, the Police, and programs like wireshark for example. Where we track down their dropzones from active keyloggers and nuke them down, in the case of our trained hackers, or close them down and initiate legal action against these people, in the case of the police. This will be step two in the great war which is the EVE community vs the chinese isk sellers. We met on EVE ground by a remote moon We heard the sound And we all knew What we had to do We called the high command Requested leave to make a stand And in the stars we grew And we all knew Soon the time would come For us to fight Isk-Sellers Now in sight |

Edited by: kyoukoku on 30/07/2009 21:06:46 /facepalm for all those folks who think the details on the whois records are going to even be anywhere remotely genuine, I'm sorry but you're mistaken.
The people registering the domains will have faked every bit of information used in the registration process, same as they likely would have done when creating their EVE accounts, so really it's not going to lead you anywhere useful.
How do I know this? Well domains & DNS is what I do for a living and I have to filter out so many fraudulent registrations from our system you wouldn't believe it. These folk's will use stolen credit cards, stolen identities and then try to register domains, rent webspace, emails etc and they only need a couple of schmucks to fall for their scams to make it profitable.
These scammers have no qualms about ripping off anyone they can get their teeth into, both in-game & in real life. A lot of the money they make is used to fund much more questionable activities in real life so I realy have no sympathy for anyone stupid enough to get fooled by them.
The best thing CCP can do is cut of all IP traffic from china to the service, China already has their own cluster to play with after all so there is no reason why they should get access to ours when we can't access theirs.
Anyone caught buying ISK should face instant bans and have their details (names, credit cards, postal address, email address, signup IP's, etc) blacklisted from the system.
This may not completetly stop them, they may go through anonymous proxies or botnets but at least CCP can make things as difficult for these muppets as possible.
This is a war and the sooner CCP act the better. We don't want EVE to be over run by idiot ISK buyers & sellers nor account hackers. |

You don't need to be a hacker to kill their sites. The collective broadband power of all EVE community players is enough to DOS their ISP to death. CCP can't get involved due to legal matters. But a few people could organize the event and silently pass out spammer programs to willing participants. It would take quite a bit of trust tho, since they could make a program take over your comp as well. Still, source code could be open and most people can compile it themselves and distribute to friends. We'd need to move this discussion off EVE forums, and CCP mods should delete all evidence. We just need to kick start the process here it would help a lot of someone from CCP secretly supplied us with information on isk sellers, so we can have better targeted attacks. |

Gee, which method is safe and the better deal? Isk sellers can't even touch legitimate isk sale prices.
This is highly likely why the isk sellers have come in with this new tactic. They can no longer make a decent profit because plex sales have driven the real money value of isk to unprofitable low levels. They are now attempting to squeeze a few last pennies out of the game and at the same time are doing their best to try and destroy it. As a side benefit, this whole situation is a real kick in the teeth for those who constantly and happily proclaim that rmt does no harm to the game. |
