Expensive is relative... Some might find a skill costing 15 mil expensive while others don't blink twice at buying a titan skillbook...

You can use EVEmon to see the average price of all skillbooks. Just load up a skill plan on a no-skill alt.

Racial Titans
Racial Carriers
Racial Dreads
Fighters
Captial Ships (Maybe?)
Nanite Control

I'd assume Outpost construction would be fairly expensive too, although I don't know.

You can add:

Capital Industrial Ships (Rorq skill.. same price as carrier 450 mil)
Clone Bay Operation (I believe it's around 110 mil)
Jump Freighters (90-100 mil)

Racial Freighter Skill (60 mil?)

Tycoon - 90m
Doomsday Operation - 225m

The four skills that were seeded for a short period of time but never actually implemented are probably the most rare and expnesive skills in the game. A few Astronautic Engineering skills, as Mona pointed out, are still available at a price of around 1.0 billion. I have not seen the other three offered for sale recently: Salvage Drone Operation, Mobile Factory Operation and Mobile Refinery Operation. I suspect that these books have all found their way into the hands of wealthy collectors...

ThisVery Happy

Salvage Drone Operation i got from the agent giving it out when it was seeded.
Astronautic Engineering i got of the Jita market for 265m
Mobile Refinery Operation cost me 500m from a contract
Mobile Factory Operation was the hardest and most expensive to get at a cost of 2.5 Billion.

The most expensive skillbooks in game are the Titan skills @ 4,950,000,000 Billion.
Thats 19.8 Billion for all 4 which is 2/3 the cost of owning all skills in gameVery Happy

That's given me an idea.

You know that a regular idea bandied about is the ability to recover implants from corpses - how about the ability to extract a random skill book out of a corpse?

This does have the 'unfortunate' side effect of making Tripoli's corpse the most valuable in the game. Laughing

Actually I'm not sure it would, I mean, I'm sure someone has a higher Average skill price than trip.

Add to that the fact that I've never been killed, either. Not only valuable, but rare. Wink

For better or for worse, Tripoli's corpse is worth quite a bit even without skills. Right up there with Ricdic maybe?

Ok, maybe not that much....

I just want to be able to run a salvager on a corpse now.... although I've not thought to try before.

I'm guessing nothing happens.

That... that has to be one of the most awesome ideas I have seen in these forums in a long time. Very Niven-esq.
There could be a whole 'corpse salvaging' skill tree... or even a POS module... produce implants, skillbooks, metals, hood oriniments....

*whines at CCP* I want this!!!!!

Oops, forgot about the Titan skills, probably because I'm still a few weeks away from being able to train them. I don't think any of the four misseeded skills that I mentioned above bring 5 billion each (yet Wink)
