I'm tryign to get perfect refine, just for Veldspar atm but eventually for other ores. What skills do I need and to what level? |

To get perfect refine actually requires 2 different things: Standings and skills.
On the skill side, you will want the Ore processing to lvl 4, Refining to 4 or 5, and Refining Effeciancy to 3 or 4. This should leave no wasted ore in a normal 50% reprocessing station.
However, for perfect refining, you need a station or POS with at least a 40% Reprocessing (with 4-5 in all relevant skills), and a standing of 6.67 of better (in the case of NPC/faction corp stations). This removes taxes so you receive the full amount of ore reprocessed. You can even achieve perfect refining in a 35% station, but you do need all skills to V plus a refining implant (can't rememberwhich one). |

there are also refining implants that give a few % reduction to waste, don't know what they are off hand but refining in 0.0 space, they are very helpful. dont need that last bit of processing to 5 in upgraded stations.

Refining: 2% per level
Refinery Efficiency: 4% per level
Then there are all the ore skills, ice processing skill, and scrap metal skill which are all 5% per level.
Yield = <station facitilites base> + <reprocessing base> * (1 + Refining * 0.02) * (1 + Refinery Efficiency * 0.04) * (1 + Material * 0.05) * (1 + refining implant % / 100)
Reprocessing base is 37.5%
At a 50% base facilities station with Refining 5 and Refinery Efficiency 4 and no material skill, you get 97.85%, so just 1 point in the material or a 3% implant will put you over the top for a perfect yield.
At a 50% base facilities station with Refining 5 and Refinery Efficiency 5 and no material skill, you get 99.5%, so just 1 point in the material or a 1% implant will put you over the top for a perfect yield.
Taxes are calculated after the yield.
Tax % = 5 - 0.75 * standing
so 0% tax is 5 / 0.75 = 6.67 standing.

Hello I have a further question about this skill - for the approx 6 % standing that also benefits your refining perfection, is that percentage for the individual, the corp, or either?
if our corp has 7% standing with Caldari Navy, but an industrialist member of the corp is assigned all the refining duties, but that member has done no missions with caldari navy, does that char get the benefits of the corp standings applied to his efficiency? |

Only the personal standings of the person doing the refining matters, corp standings won't help. |

It is personal your standing with the corp owning the station. Quote:

also to get refining eff.. you need refining 5... sux.. |
