Is anyone else receiving emails from CCP asking that you log into the website and update your billing information?

They are saying they upgraded their billing system and if you don't update your billing information they will cancel your account by July 1st.

Yes. Also, if you look at the billing page, it says the same thing.

Haven't had any emails from any of my accounts. I also doubt they will cancel accounts if you paid them. Prolly a hoax.

This is from the account main menu:

We recently made some changes to our billing system that will cause your subscription to expire by the end of your current cycle. In order to avoid this we ask that you re-enter your billing information via the 'Subscription Details' link.

If you experience any problems regarding this change or if you have any questions, please contact customer support at support@eve-online.com

same here. No notice by email, and nothing when logging in on acount management. Either its an update specific to some regions credit cards, to subscribers with a specific credit card company or most likely its yet another attempt to steal accounts.

It looks like it is for specific accounts. Only two of mine got the email. I logged into the site. I did something. I was rather confused since the update button wasn't where they said it was suppose to be.

Decided just to update my credit card info on all my accounts. Did notice that the Subscription Details page is different. It is displaying the last 5 payments differently. Hopefully I did everything correctly. Guess I will find out on July 1st.

Well I get this message "For security reasons you can not sell EVE Time Code now. ." and also the 5 last subscriptions also. Something is going on.... I sent a petition on, but not hopeful of getting a quick response. :(

I will tell you what happened to me:

After I deciphered the email that provided very little information on what to do or what to expect, I logged in and updated my billing information so my account wouldn't get canceled.

I had 191 days of gametime remaining. They hit me for a new annual charge (with no notice that this was about to happen), AND wiped out my 191 days left to be used. My account shows I have 360 days remaining, but stuck with an unexpected bill for a new 360 subscription.

Obviously I've petitioned this to recover the wipied out days, but its such poor customer service its really hard to believe this was done with any advance planning whatsoever.

CCP: If you are going to charge a customer for something, do you suppose that maybe, especially when it is your own fault that this has to be done, just maybe, you might say so before doing it?

This is incredibly bad customer service.

It's just one other "do before making sure" on important things that could easily go wrong yet are important to them, but "don't do even if you're really sure" on important things that are almost impossible to go wrong that are nearly irrelevant to them.

They'll most likely add those "cut-off" days to your account (I doubt they'll refund the cash)... they'll do it in a couple of days, maybe even several weeks, but they'll get around to it eventually. They might even let you transfer paid days from one of your accounts to another, if you have more than one.

You should look at the forum before posting another useless post about this, and you would have easily found the post that Jin is linking to.
