A cosmetic change if you like but one that would make anyone with lots of alts happy and also it should be pretty simple to implement.
On the character selection screen a icon next to a character if they have unread mail. Maybe a "C" on the icon for corp mail, an "A" for alliance mail and the regular mail icon for personal mail.

At present time, I almost don't care what ccp has coming.
The non-stopping Isk spam alone has shown that they seemingly don't care about their game, or at least the people playing. |

Edited by: Wacktopia on 23/06/2009 10:53:56- Wizards - Ambulation - Dancing - Paintable ships - Nerf Projectiles Or... I think something was said about T3 modules (no proof ) a while back so I guess that would be good. There has been a whole lot said about 0.0 space and it would be great to see CCP re-think the mechanics a bit to perhaps open it up to more players? I dont confess to going deep into nullsec but I spend a fair amount of time there and would be great to see more going on and more reasons to roam etc. Planets and moons really need a gfx buff - they really do look quite old and tired now and it really shouldn't be too dificult to re-texture a freaking sphere. It would be great if when you were close-by the planet the texture improved quality to give a higher detailed view. I beleive I heard a rumour they were doing this (also no proof, haha ) |

Personally i hope its the 0.0 revamp (including sov/caps) adjusting it to the current empire-situation (isk lvl4 vs rest). I guess it will be some mission arcs, and some ui rework with a little bit of blub here and there.
Its the first time for a long time that CCP´s isnt talking with their community. Im a little bit afraid of what they plan. We need some Devblogs!! |

i'd like to see the high end moon distribution in 0.0 alot more balanced.
it seems a lil unfair how some regions have practically none while others have loads.
also outposts & jumpgates should be allowed sentry guns (max 3 guns in sov 3 & max 4 in sov 4 systems) |

I said it already in a different thread: Make moon glue spawn in a random moon and let it last for 60 days of mining, then respawn on a different moon elsewhere for the next 60 days. |

Add moon minerals and ice products to hauler-spawn drops, and while we're at it, increase hauler spawn frequency. Helps reduce 2 problems in one: moon mineral bottleneck and uneven distribution, also macromining. |

Winter Expansion
Our next biannual expansion is slated to release this winter, and the focus will be on Industry. We're currently working up a full list of what we want in this expansion, but here's a few ideas of some things that are likely to be involved
The "Adding Spank to War" Program
Following up on the Empyrean Age release, we're working on improvements to the Factional Warfare mechanics to fill out the design and add more options, possibilities and rewards to participating players
Project Leveller
A thorough look at the roles played by various classes of capital ship, with the aim of ensuring that each one has a viable and balanced place in the greater scheme of things.
Project Brainwash
It's those pesky Gallente again, I'm sure... The SCC is considering lifting restrictions on capsuleer advertizing, and given the cash reserves of the average capsuleer analysts are predicting the rapid provision of services to allow them to spend their cash on fancy posters and so on
All this is from in development in 2008, and I'm still waiting. Note, I have edited out the ones that they have implemented, but am mentioning that they have implemented some of it just to be fair. |

Exploratory capsuleers have discovered a narrow bridge of star systems back to the Milky Way Galaxy and have been earnestly constructing a corridor of Jump Gates to enable the Return to Earth.
Due to the high instability of the linking star systems and long distances between the two galaxies, the corridor will remain unmanned by Concorde and considered a risk to all who pass. These systems will remain zoned as 0.0 with no sovereignity allowed.
Fantastic idea! And after a perilous travel through all this systems pested with pirates and hazardous environments you jump through a final gate. You can see planet earth from orbit, it gets bigger and bigger and a single line appears: "Welcome to RealLife". Then your EVE account gets deleted. |

Custom ship paint-job option in stations. Even just having the option to change the hue of the current paint (therefor prevent higher server load)
Imagine an alliance of blue ships going up against an alliance of red ships for example. Easier to identify targets without brackets in larger scale battles. |

Honestly, I don't want anything new. I'd much rather have the next expansion be associated with finishing all the things that were left unfinished the last few patches. It is blatantly obvious that rigs, the nano nerf, FW, and several other game changes were released in a half-assed fashion. EVE is becoming more and more like WinME after every expansion. It's time for CCP to play catch-up. |

Unlikely to happen bro, ccp create areas of the game that do that, that do that there ect.... Aka ws, the improved AI/local, normal high/low sec remains as is ect. They create an area 'for that' thats balanced to accord. I doubt they have little or any intention to blanket change every area, high/low/null/ws all to the same format. |

While this is needed, my speculation about the expansion is as follows: 1) Some, but not all, of the industry-related stuff are included that they've been mulling over. Most features, however, get shelved during testing and pushed back to next year. Mining fixes are reduced to tweaking mineral outputs from ores and introducing additional types in lowsec and 0.0. 2) Level 5 T3 ship components are introduced, then patched again two weeks after release. Concept art and unsubstantiated dev speculation is revealed regarding T3 battleships, following up on FanFest presentations. 3) Devs change SOV mechanics. Originally they want to do something cool and sweeping, but end up just switching claim mechanics to planets and enabling the stationing of POSes there. The whole planetary interaction plan goes back to cook more after horrible bugs are revealed in testing, which would delay the expansion another 3 months. Official line is that the delay is to facilitate the switch from moon claims to planet claims, for the day when planets are interactable, to avoid clumsy "accidents" in alliances losing SOV. 4) Capital ships are rebalanced. However, without the planetary parts, dread changes seem silly and after three weeks of emoh8terage on the forums, CCP rolls back those changes until later. Sisi testers point out that they "told them so." 5) Moon mining assets are changed to rebalance dynamically in location and quantity/quality over time. This almost immediately makes the SW regions less profitable and sparks goon-rage whining about how they're being "nerfed" now that BoB is no longer in the area. The rest of EVE as a whole doesn't care, and spends most of their time laughing at the EVE-rich. There are plenty of other things that *should* go into this expansion, but these are my predictions. --Krum |
