I am not sure that a dedicated "battlegrounds" server would even do the trick, EVE battles are at such a scale that even dedicated only server could not cope.

Unless you want to fight your Alliance warfare with 64 vs 64 (not EVE spirit) then this is impossible.

How many people are on the highest capped FPS servers? Counterstrike, Team Fortress 2 and etc? If dedicated games like that could do 300vs300 lag free then they would?

If battlegrounds were introduced.. it would def ruin the heart of what eve is. PVP as it stands now would be lost. You think pvp is ruined now!!? Either you are in the wrong place.. the wrong corp.. or dont know wtf you are doing...lol Hands down.. EVE is the best, intense, most meaningful pvp I have played probably(and many others will tell you the same)... and I have played quite a few mmo's. Eve is special and different then many mmo's in alot of ways. Lets keep it that way. There are tons of games out there that support the style of play you might be looking for.. I suggest you go check out one of them..

The badger might be an oddity, but it seems to get more action than you do in a real pvp ship. Hence why I say your doing it wrong.

BG killed wow pvp dont kill EVE pvp.

There is no fun in running Bgs there is no scouting, no what if this happens, no un expected suprises that get your blood flowing this is what makes eve pvp fun.

fighting a 20 BS gang and some cyno open ( Big bada Boom) lots of scared voices and oh **** stuff you cant get that in a BG its like scripted fighting /yawn

I don't know how WoW's battlegrounds work, but adding an otherwise way to run balanced tournaments between individual players or small groups would do much good. Currently, there's already a PvP tournament, the Alliance Tournament. Less "pro" and more frequent versions of that wouldn't hurt at all.

Eve radio already runs alot of things like that where you can win prises. The tools are already in game it just require a bit of thought and planning.
