As a new player I am reading a lot of guides. Many character creation guides recommend customizing the attributes during creation. But I see no option to customize. Is this gone now? |

I ran into the same thing. Most of the character creation walkthroughs out there are outdated.
As far as attributes, you get two free attribute remaps as a new character, then the usual one a year thereafter. Just go to the attribute tab of your character page in-game and you should see it all there at the bottom. |

The site's character creation guide is sadly probably the most outdated. What the other guys mentioned above is correct. You wil now choose your attributes in a later stagem, which is better imho. |

They make some incredibly tiny difference in your starting skills...But for all intents and purposes, no. |

They used to determine your starting attributes/skills. Now their only real purpose is to change what your avatar looks like. |
