That's not true, many EVE professions don't have dedicated ships.

which is why i propose the bellicose has it's TP bonus changed to a font-size bonus when posting on CAOD.

Just a little background for all you lame flamers and trolls:

IRL I am a successful day trader (not blowing my own horn here but I make 7 figure sums in USD a quater).
I own my own brokerage firm and mainly deal with stocks relating to ship builders and other naval industries. I KNOW what I am talking about, I KNOW all about the basic and advanced concepts behind trading and I KNOW for a fact that trading in this game is 100% broken.

IRL we have all sorts of laws and independant bodies to monitor and control the market which is why the world economy is as stable and realiable as it is. However being devoid of these safe guards in EVE it seems to have allowed about 10-12 people to control the ENTIRE market and make it dance to their whims. The only one of which I have been able to identify is the self-styled "Queen of Scams" Delphi Grendalus.

My solutions would not only free the market from the clutches of these shadowy 12 figures (lets just call them, MJ-12 or Market Judicators-12) but also allow it to slip and flow organically. It should be plainly obvious to everyone that everything being controlled in this way puts way too much power into the hands of only a few and is bad for the game, overall.

If you can't see that then I am afraid you don't know anything about trading, the market or EVE in general.

I am not interested in nefarious scamming/criminal ships I'm afraid. All sorts of suggestions for scamming ships have been made by many players in many forums. I want TRADE ships, not CRIME ships.

It is already far too easy for a scammer to operate.

Give me ships with bonuses to trade skills or give me death. A frigate that increases profit margins by 5% per level. A tradecruiser that makes people pay 5% per level more then the price on the market. A tradeship with bonuses to lasers and shield resistances. Every other profession has more then one class of ship absolutely dedicated to their goals APART FROM TRADERS.

The last time I checked, industrials received a 5% cargo/level bonus.

Since when was the ability to move stuff around a TRADE skill?

Do you need TRADE skills to fly an industrial ship? Does it improve any of your TRADE skills i.e. can you make more market orders cause your ship level went up one? Do any of them help you spot gaps in the MARKET to exploit with your TRADE skills? No.

Please stop trolling what is a serious topic. You've all had your fun. Thank you.

OP, if you can't make any profit trading in EVE, then you're doing it wrong. That's all there is to it.

And I'm sure you're smart enough to be able to figure out the differentiation of the in-game trading possibilities to that of real-life. You can't expect a online game to be affected by all the factors one would see in real-life, as the online game markets excist only within the structure of the game mechanics and the liberties of it's players within that construct. As such, don't expect the EVE market or EVE's players to behave within the reasoning of real life, though EVE's market is the closest to the real thing I've come accross in a GAME.

So to succeed in trading in EVE, the age old beaten horse, though no less true, Learn and Adapt, is key.

edit: added second and third clause in retort to the OP's self-reflecting remarks.

It is very difficult to make any kind of profit trading. Many turn to scamming in an effort to make a quick buck such as the legend Delphi Grendalus. More often then not traders in this game actually make a LOSS, not a profit. Trading as it is right now is completely BROKEN and DEAD.

you're either not very astute, or you're doing it wrong. my trade alt can make 100's of millions per day, depending on how much work I put in.

i think you just want an "i whine" button.

oh wait, you found that one. was it an "i win" button you wanted?

There exist no ships with bonuses that effect your profit margins, no matter what "profession" they're used for.

Ships get bonuses towards what they're intended for - scanning, speed, damage output, tanking, cargo capacity, etc.

People that mine use mining ship bonuses to help them profit by being able to mine quicker, more efficient, etc.

People that haul items use hauling ship bonuses to help them profit by being able to carry more items per run, etc.

People that mission use ship bonuses to help them destroy targets faster, etc.

People that go ratting use ship bonuses to help them destroy targets faster, etc.

What I'm getting at, is that no ships have bonuses that directly influence profits/income. So why should there be a shiptype that does give bonuses with a direct impact on that?

If you wanted your special trading ship that gives percent bonuses to your profit margin, whatever, then you'd have to give ships used for ratting and missioning percent bonuses to bounties collected, mining ships would get percent bonuses to how much their minerals/ores get sold for, hauling ships would get percent bonuses to what their goods get sold for, etc.
