I'm an old pirate returning to the game after a one or two year break. Piracy died about 9 times while I was playing but I could still go out and earn a living with a bit of effort. Today it looks like are no elite pirate corps left in eve and lots of the wannabes are claiming that it's impossible for piracy to be profitable anymore.
Just how bad have things gotten while I've been gone? |

Comprehensive breakdown of marks deducted:
-1 for caps post
-2 for claiming piracy died
-2 for claiming it died 9 times
-1 for claiming it died 9 times and yet you were still able to make a living thus contradicting yourself
-1 for claiming no pirate corps left
-1 for not actually checking it out yourself
-1 for believing everything you read on the forums

T2 prices have crashed due to invention, so making your isk from loot is a little harder I would assume. |

Dunno if veto is still around, so I'd have to say TGA. My corp/alliance does alrite although we prefer the pew more than the isk |

You're doing it wrong.
I would say THEY'RE doing it wrong, but since every pirate I run into sit on a gate in drakes and HICs, I must assume it's working to some extent. Kyozoku: If gatesniffing is your thing, I would check out UPS (United Pod Service)-alliance. They are the most apt at it out of the bunch I've run into. They operate mostly in the south (seen them most in Sagain). |

Well, I would say it is still technically profitable, but the term profitable is up for debate. If your desire is to be a bastard, there are far more lucrative professions then outright piracy. You can be like any of the other 400+ scammers spamming Jita local with their stupid contracts. These guys pull down billions a week, sad really. |

Piracy is completly dead. You can now transport your belongings through low sec without fear. You can rat all day and all night and get all the mission running itches scratched. He77 you teach groups how to rat in low sec all you want. There arent any elite Pirate groups anymore, they all quit playing and I can understand why,Piracy is just not Profitable anymore..........  |
