So I've been asking this ingame and have not received an answer.

Our corporation had a good standing with an NPC corporation. Good enough that we could all have jumpclones installed there.

So I installed a jumpclone with this NPC corporation.

Then our corp joined an Alliance and our standing with that NPC corporation dropped well below 8.0

My bio shows that I still have a jump clone installed there, but will the standing change affect that clone in any way in the future? Can I still use that one installed clone freely?

yes you can use it, you can jump from you current clone to the installed clone

You only need standings to create the jumpclone. After that, it will stay yours and full functional forever (or until you manually destroy it).

First, as others have said, your jump clones will remain functional. Standings are only needed to create jump clones, not use them.

Second, joining an alliance should not have had any effect on your NPC corp standings. Perhaps there is a bug that reset them when you joined the alliance. Unless your corp membership has changed, your corp standings should return.
