Ok being a pirate and knowing other pirate's I notice alot of pirate hate trolls out there, paticulary on valid threads raising valid points. Equally as much, alot of copy and paste replys and nonsensical answers from pertitions. But being a pirate and knowing mainly pirates im not sure if this is a regular accurance?
What im getting at is, there is alot of hate for pirates out there,people that have lost much and hold long term grudges.
and considering ccp has many volunteer positions available.
Do you guys ever wonder how far the pirate hate goes?
ps:considering voting pompus if he can clean ccp up! |

It's incredibly possible that this guy doesn't have english as his first, second, third, fourth or fifth language, so, ergo, it's incredibly possible that he simply used the wrong word. Even English people get confused as to the usage of "racism", so I expect that foreigners would, too. |

Being an ex-pirate (reformed) it doesn't seem like CCP actually like the pirate profession. They are making it harder and harder for them to not only survive to actually prosper. They try and make out that Eve is a cold hard world to live in but every patch, every day they are making it more and more carebear friendly.
I was by no means around from the begining, but since I have been playing everything has been in favour of the carebears over the pirates...or even over 0.0 alliances.
There is alot of hate...but why does there have to be?! |

I have no way of knowing without conducting a poll or investigate further. Your concern is that pirates are somehow less worthy in the eyes of CCP. Subjective observations on forum posting patterns arent really proof of anything (other than EvE forum posters being jerks.) Well for one Ridik, you obviously used the wrong word, remember you posted on the eve online forums aka 'the cream of the interenet where everyones IQ is over 150 and only smart people frequent'.
Pirate hate though is not really true, its more the fact that most pirates are at the front of tension, whether that be losing ships with silly docking bugs or griefing the hell out of another player. Its not really what they do, its more the probability that something is going to happen specifically to them because they are that front of tension.

ISD is an extremely closely monitored volunteer organisation. Extremely. I really doubt that people who were being obviously biased and unfair would get away with anything. GMs, on the other hand, do it professionally. I'd think that they have the professional detachment to stop themselves from becoming unfair to those that they dislike. |
