The Morphite market/mining system could really use a revamp. With the drone regions providing lots of morphite via reprocessing, it basically makes actually mining for Morphite very unworthwhile. Especially with the Skiff providing such drastic yield bonuses per level of Exhumers.

What it means: You need Exhumers5 and full T2 mining skills to get what amounts to the ISK/hr of Crokite or slightly more. That is a very large amount of skill training required for inferior payouts and specialized refining skills.

Even if you it's for specialized ships so it doesn't have to pay out well -- the drone refines market still basically eliminates the need to mine it at all unless you really have huge troubles with importing.

The whole mining profession needs an overhaul. Like this one.

WH are also a good place for Mercoxit mining. Class 4's have it most of the time, class 2's rarely but still possible.

Drone space pays out well because there are no bounties on the rats. That's the balance.

Finding Mercoxit isn't the issue. And it's not balanced when drone refines for morphite basically supply the entire market which depresses the price to a level where it's worthless to actually mine it.

With Exhumers4 in the time you mine 1 refine worth of Merc (~3.5mil ISK) you can mine ~6mil worth of Bist or 8.7mil in Ark. With Exhumers5 it's 3.5/5/6.7 at least (I think more bc my numbers for the Hulk were a conservative 5100m3/cycle instead of 55-5600m3)

I was doing some calculations about it myself, and assuming that you could get an equal volume yield to a hulk (which frankly I'm not even sure I could get with max skills. If it was lower this mercox really would be worthless to mine) it would make only 25% more mining it than bist in the area I'm in. However, that is at empire prices. Since where I am is the deep end of a 0.0 arm, it's completely worthless. Once you factor in risk for transport, time spent transporting...

Yeah... I'm going to not buy the 47m skiff (which with my "additional" profits might never actually make its money back still) and I'll just stick with hulk mining. From the deep space miner's point of view the price depression is quite obviously visible is all I meant to add.
